You Miss 100% of the Shots You don't Take

First place and counting, that's right how about them Islanders!  It's still a long ways away before Lord Stanley's Cup tournament...quite possibly the most intense tournament in North American professional sports, with participants from all around the world.  It's the only sport in the world that it's a good thing to score a goal and get into a fist fight in the same game.  You certainly aren't allow (nor is it condoned) to do that in any other sport...and I am including boxing and MMA.
FYI (short for your information)
DYK (an abbreviation for did you know) that I use to take hot yoga with a former MMA champ?
His name is Chris Wiedman, and he is a swell of a guy.
You just never know who you are going to meet at yoga class, you really don't.
I've met some really crazy people there too.  As a matter of fact, most people at hot yoga are crazy.
But don't let them know I said so, after all what's that saying about throwing stones if you live in a glass house.
That's why I always wanted to live in a teepee, there is no need OR desire to throw stones.  Stone throwing is overrated and underscored.
Unless you're skipping stones, because that's fun and good.
As a kid, I could spend an entire afternoon trying to skip the perfect stone...hence, how and why I have profoundly come to peace with the philosophy that perfection is a transient illusion that leads to anxiety, angst and a constant insatiable desire for more of everything.
Being that I have said less with more before, I might as well quite while I am a head with short hair....once upon a time I had a lot of hair, and all that got me was a big bill for shampoo and conditioner.
Can I please, please...please find the resolve for happiness even with nothing in hand.
That would be a great humanistic lesson to be had.
Don't you say?

OUR Path to our Holy Grail

As Monty Python once proclaimed, "I'm not dead yet!"
How have you been?  How have things been?  How has life been treating You?
Are you in a happier place?

Happiness comes from within, peace comes from understanding and accepting the inner self.  Strength comes from not fearing our weaknesses.  Success is what we choose to make of it.  We often defeat ourselves and we tend to blame the world for them.  In general, I would write more if I gave myself that added time to spend doing what I love to do.  In my defense, I have been very active vocalizing my philosophies with others on a more one to one basis....so I have taken the spoken word approach...which deprives the rest of whatever audience might want to listen.  I am me, will always be...and I will never apologize or adulterate who I am.  I like me for being me.  I like incorporating me in all sorts of environments that might find some sort of new angle on old perspectives.  I find life too short to worry about things beyond our level of influence.

I can only control (if, and it's a big if I allow myself to) my thoughts, which in turn can impact my:
mood
feelings & emotions
inspirations
Intentions
motives, initiations and actions
Basically...My Overall Outlook and all my magnificent, miraculous and marvelous reactions on how I fit within this world that we all call home.

Because this IS home to all of us, not just to you and I.

The We part is what seems to seperate and alienate us from one an other.
We instinctively shy away from things different from our familiarities.  Leading to self insecurities from these unknowns.  Therefore, we either try to change or destroy what we can not understand.  More times than not, we are unwilling to even attempt to understand...
Shame
On
Us
!
We can trace most, if not all our problems back to our Ego (here we go) and our greed for substance.

In order for this entire planet to change for the better,
Man has to bypass the ego
Overcome ignorance and arrogance
Become more open minded in understanding what needs to be understood in order to bridge misunderstandings
and embrace the possibility of a higher state of a collective consciousness and enlightenment.

Like I said, I am not close to being Dee Ee Dee dead!

Do you have a Soul, or are you a spirit imitating someone with a Soul?

Energy can not be created or destroyed
Only transferred
Or so they say
I have a conscious
I have a perceived reality therefore I do exist as energy
If you want to refer to my soul as energy, so be it
Because I am here, I am real
I have thought, I have the ability to initiate actions
I can reason, I can solve, I can explain
I have feelings, I have emotions
I experience a world filled with consequences and circumstances
There is no imitating or pretending, I perceive my energy bounded by my flesh therefore I am energized flesh
The soil beneath my feet, the air that animates my blood...
I experience it, I feel it...I live it

I am me

Sweet Love

Cool and calculating
Soft, yet delicate
Precise
Like a quiet slice
Calming
Finding peace
Opening my soul
Exposing my essence
Creating my solace
Sharing with the world
What I hold to myself
I
am
One
with
my
Red
I die bye my sword
Because
that is where my piece finds me

Time
ceases to exist
when we embrace
As if
my
d i v i d e d
soul
once again
becomes
whole
In a world
that is constantly
c h a n g i n g
It's where
I found my peace
When we became one
And in its infinite oceans of eternity
It all came to a halt
As we merged into us

She
Is
Water

Love Letters to Kristin

Once Upon A Time, in my immediate future I got the News...the Really big news that I have a destiny to fulfill in Nepal.

Funny story on how I am being beckoned to go to Nepal.  The eldest sister Neo (she's like a humble version of the superhero from The Matrix) ran into a psychic she knows while she was out and about in a market place.  The psychic (they always correct me by saying that it's their spiritual adviser) told her that she needs to get to Nepal ASAP.
Now, here is a little backstory on my lady friend and her entire family....they are a bunch of germaphobe hypochondriacs who have sworn off ever going to India or any immediate neighboring countries.
Neo's immediate response was,
"But I had wanted to go to germany?"
Her psychic told her "No, you're going to Nepal....first...and then at some later time you can visit Germany."
So, it's been told therefore she will adhere to the Devine voice of her conduit...Nepal it is!

Here is where I come in (and don't you worry I will be going....and I am the only person who is looking forward to whatever chaos....god I love that word...comes our way).  I had a sit down with the sisters this past weekend and I quickly came to the realization that they have no clue where they are going nor do they have any idea of what to do once when they get there.  I don't even think that lady Mei Lay could point to Nepal on a Map...or a globe...maybe with a little GPS with a tad bit of sass.

I take a deep breathe and I start walking them through from their first step here in the New York up to the initial destination of Lumbini, Nepal. (There looks to be a strong potential for subsequent destinations that hold religious significance.
I should mention that they are devout Buddhists and they are doing this on the premise that it will be a pilgrimage...in hopes of spiritually elevating their samsara.
Personally, I am not religious....but I do have a strong sense of curiosity to fabrics of all religious observations (you can throw in Myths, superstitions and folklores).  I have always considered myself spiritually connected to the ways of humanity and the dimension it exists in.

I am leaning towards endorsing they consider some sort of small tour group that focuses on retracing Buddha's steps.  It would be a bit more adventurous if I plan out some kind of personalized  set of destinations...but having to travel with them under time constraints, there is no room for error.  Getting lost or ill is not on the to do list...as fun as that may be on the other side of the world.
Don't forget, I do root for chaos!
After Thinking this through, they are going to need a solid sense of direction and purpose....otherwise, they just might get lost in a maniac mesh of mayhem.

Ce Domage as the French tend to say.

Au Revoir and Viva Nepal

Mission Towards Light

My voice may have gone virtually silent, but I assure you that I have not been inhibited in sharing my thoughts, opinions and whatever pseudo-wisdom I may believe to be inherent to my being.  In other words, spoken word has been my choice of communication with my select audience.  I do apologize for not sharing all that I have shared during this time.
With that said, lets dip into the delicious avenues of requisite insight that could potentially pave a path to enlightenment...being that I am being beckon to a birth place of sapience.
First off, fire within creates the light for the vision necessary to see beyond the immediate me.  The immediate me is predominately fed by ego.  Light will never come from anything beyond the me.  If light does appear from anywhere other than the me...well, that is not true light...that is more of a hungry mind looking for a world and only finding shadows created by a false sense of creadance.
Second, owning it does not mean you know how to harness it.
It being the fire that lights.
Learning what to do with it, might be just as difficult as knowing where to find it.
Wait,
I'm confused.
Aren't we all?
Yes, sorting through the confusion is a big part of the journey.  Confusion creates wayward paths.  Wayward paths make circles much how dogs chase tails.
Why so much confusion?
Because the Ego is a house of pride (with prejudice), in the midst of an angry storm intent on fighting the primal world for eternal survival.  With pride comes vice, skewing direction and orientation. Hence, how so many can and will lose their way.
I call them distractions.  Emotions that illicit precise reactions that cause one to deviate off their path.
By...the...way...not all paths lead to the same destination.
Distractions can be things that motivate us to sit still on our path.
Distractions are behaviors that wreak havoc in our our path and strangle us with chaos.
How, do I love...love...love...do we all...love our chaos.
Chaos creates the natural order.
Funny, how chaos has order.
And it's an order of destruction.
Don't forget, we all came from chaos.
I find only those ready to look for fire can find fire if they eliminate distractions and resist falling victim to their Ego.  Ego is what separates us from the rest of the animal kingdom.  The world around us has instinct for survival instead of ego.  If they create an ego, it might put them on a fast track to extinction.
Oh my, the othe E word.
Ego and Extinction are two in one...because without one, you will not get the other.

May I make one final point?

Everything in life is overrated, except life itself which is often taken for granted.

Self Love

Oysters are the gem guardians of our planet.  A rigid shell shields its treasures from the Wolful appetite of an unforgiving global quest for all exotic beauties.
Anything in its path gets consumed solely for pleasure, vanity and ego.
The pitfall of superficial transparency.
A unique luster that's contingent upon reflection, refraction and diffraction of light via all its translucent layers.
The thinner and more numerous the layers, the finer the luster...creating an iridescence emitted from all these concentric layers that break up light on its smooth and silky surface.
Rare and extradinairy color patters are singular to each Pearl...exuding an all inclusive individualistic beauty.

In this paradox we call life,
Fixing old problems may not be as good as starting over in order to Find the right way.
Focus on what we can control by using our positive attitude, strong faith and mindful perspective.
Remember....We choose how we perceive each and every situation that comes our way...

After all,
An oyster that was not injured will never produce a pearl...because a Pearl is a wound that has healed.
Beautiful and individualistic.
