Why assume, and create a gender for the 'Devil'?
Well, with that being said...if a 'Devil' exists then according to lure he was an Angel who became so prideful, God could no longer control him (yet God gave man free will?) therefore Lucifer was expelled from heaven (along with his followers). Sad, sad chain of events...
